Amazon.com No matter what a toddler's parent does, Barney is inescapable. No matter how cringingly irritating adults find Barney's goofy voice, he captivates his youthful audience. Barney's Rhyme Time Rhythm is no exception. The video's setting finds a frustrated Emily trying to pen a poem for school. Stepping in to help are the magical purple dinosaur and a host of friends, including Mother Goose herself. The video is an effective introduction to Mother Goose rhymes, songs, and stories (which, mercifully, are not rewritten in typical Barney fashion). As in most Barney fare, there's an emphasis on cheerfulness, creativeness, friendship, and affection. It's nice that the basic premise encourages children to read and write--especially their own rhymes. The many songs include "Did You Ever See a Lassie?" as well as "London Bridge," "Humpty Dumpty," "Baa Baa Black Sheep," "Little Boy Blue," "Little Bo Peep," "The House That Jack Built," "Little Miss Muffet," "Three Little Kittens," "The Old Lady in the Shoe," and "Old King Cole." (Ages 2 and older) --N.F. Mendoza

Two year can't get enough July 29, 2008 My two year old can't get enough! He likes how lyrical and catchy it is, though, more than the fact that Barney is in it. I would recommend it to toddlers who like Dr Seuss. As an adult, I have the songs stuck in my head ALL day.
Barney May 12, 2008 This is one of the best Barney video's I have seen. It does a wonderful job exposing your child to the classic Mother Goose rhymes. My kids are 18 months and 4 years old...they both Love it!
Kids love it!! April 5, 2008 My 2 yr old twin granddaughters LOVE this dvd. They dance and sing every time I put it on. Everytime they come over they grab it first! Although Barney gets on my nerves I would highly suggest this!
Crappy Delivery March 31, 2008 This product is good, but the delivery was horrible. I received the product and the DVD was bouncing around in the box. I don't appreciate this kind of delivery.
a total delight March 28, 2008 This DVD is a total delight. Though snappy and upbeat, it actually depicts a child having a problem, and solving that problem through empathic adult guidance and the support of her peers. I say "actually" because the other popular Barney DVD about playing school depicts a near-perfect world in which everyone is unceasingly happy except, for a brief moment, Baby Bop. In addition to the original Barney music, which, in this production, is particularly good, the DVD contains scores of Mother Goose rhymes, usually put to music and adorably acted out i.e Mary Had A Little Lamb. Also, the woman who plays Mother Goose is superb: I just wish they'd put her name on the DVD box! The bottom line is that this is a great DVD for young children esp. those interested in/attracted to rhyming. Our two year old sat through the entire DVD: a first for him, as he usually tires after 15 or 20 minutes at the most.
