Flintsones are the best August 16, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Having been exposed to many animated series in the 60-s, the one serie that made me run from school at lunch time every single day so i did not miss it were the Flintstones. Was it the characters, the music, the stories, i think it was all of those and more. A great friendship between Barney and Fred was one of the high points and proved even more interesting when peebles and bam bam made their way in. In season 6 we have the Great Gazo in which made the flintsones even better. Also we cant forget Wilma and Betty....they were the strenght behing the boys Season 6 is the last season, and the only thing i can say is....thank you to all that worked or made the Flintstones a great show for all ages.
Did you notice the nude paintings in episode 8??? July 31, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love the Flintstones. I've watched them ever since they first hit the airwaves. I got this set and celebrated with my son. We loved them. It would have 5 stars but for one small detail. The one small detail is one that I was not aware of when I purchased them. In episode 8 "Rip Van Flintstone", there are two female nude paintings displayed on the walls of Barney Rubbles Mansion. When Fred first enters the house and passes the butler, note the painting to the butler's left. That is a nude woman. Then, when Fred and Barney pass through the doorway, there is another nude woman on the left wall. I checked Google and found no mention of these. I was shocked. My son was shocked. How is it that after watching this episode in reruns for so many years, I have never noticed these? Is this something that HB cut out for syndication? Is this something that was added during the digital transfer? I am a bit upset. Please check this out and verify my findings. Thanks.
Flintstones Save The Best For Last With Season 6 April 13, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
the final installment of the flintstones provides viewers with countless laughs and adventures throughout the set. The Great Gazoo is an excellent addition to the show also. Of course i recommend buying all six seasons, but if you can only buy one, make sure it is season 6, you won't regret it.
