The Lean Office Jeopardy Game is a highly-engaging game to reinforce Lean concepts presented throughout a training session or workshop. This activity is typically conducted at the end of a training session. Lean Jeopardy allows for the group to be energized with the information that had been presented, while at the same time having fun in a competitive manner. The Lean Office Jeopardy Game has four categories, What is it?, Why use it?, Where use it?, and Picture this? with 5 answers for each category. There is also an additional 100 answers provided in a Microsoft Word file from which you can cut and paste into the PowerPoint file for newer versions as you see fit. The new questions are referenced from The Lean Office Pocket Guide (XL). The basic premise of the Jeopardy game/activity is for participants to provide questions (i.e., correct responses) to answers previously given by the facilitator from various categories. For example: Under the Why use it? category the answer that is displayed is Also known as continuous improvement, the correct response (or question to be asked) for $100.00 would be What is Kaizen? . Note: be flexible with the answers as What is Lean? could also be considered the correct response, it will depend on how it was defined during the training session. There are 4 categories in the version that is provided, but can be expanded to additional categories if desired. Each category is assigned a dollar value, with increasing dollar value with the difficulty level of the question. Note: the additional 100+ questions and answers provided are fairly even in their difficulty and can be placed in any of the $100 - $500 categories. The important aspect of this game is for everyone to begin to understand how these tools and concepts are defined and used and none are meant to be made more or less important than the other.

Get People Involved in Lean November 7, 2008
The Lean Office Jeopardy Game is the best way to reinforce Lean concepts in a engaging way. It only takes about 30 minutes to conduct this activity and will have everyone talking about Lean! We use it at all our training sessions and have modified it accordingly.

This is a great tool to supplement a training session on Lean. The nice thing about it is that it can be used for a group review or as an individual learning tool after initial training has been completed. Very creative and easy to use. You can make it as simple or as elaborate as you want with prizes and extra production. We even downloaded the Jeopardy theme and played it in the background. Great Fun!

I used the Lean Office Jeopardy Game at the conclusion of our training. It was a delight. Typically, training does not end with the desire for more and this training did. Using this 30 minute activity, it got everyone involved in a fun-competitive way. Great tool!
