Description
Learning letters has never been this easy! Children will fall in love with these wonderful characters as they a€œMeet the Letters.a€ Meet the Letters is a powerful tool designed to teach babies and toddlers the alphabet during an opportune window of time when they are learning to talk. A recent study of over 50 babies and toddlers, who watched Meet the Letters daily, resulted in over 90% of these children having complete upper and lowercase letter recognition by or before the end of the two-month study. Many learned their letters in less than two weeks! Most impressively, nearly 70% of children under 24 months of age mastered the alphabet.
You will be amazed at how easily your little ones can learn their letters!

5 out of 5 stars Great Movies!   December 3, 2008
My children love all of these (colors, numbers, letters, shapes). They pick up on all of these things SO FAST after watching these movies, and when they get to watch a movie, they often pick these!! A miracle really. Just bought all the sight word movies, can't wait to see if they are just as good!

3 out of 5 stars Great for memorizing the letters but not much help with their sounds!   December 1, 2008
I just purchased the Preschool Prep Letters a week ago and it is a great tool for my son to recognize the alphabet. The only qualm I have with it is that it doesn't teach the sounds that go with the letters. It's nice to know your alphabet but if you can't put sounds to your letters, you will have a hard time reading and spelling. I combined these videos with my Brainy Baby videos that do teach the sounds and I think it's a good combo. That way my son is learning to recognize the sounds of the letters but also has good letter recognition as well. My son also is not enthused with this video. He has a hard time watching the whole thing in one sitting.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent learning tool.   November 4, 2008
I never thought I'd say this about something my son watches on television, but the Preschool Prep Series products are fantastic. My little guy has gone through the numbers, colors, shapes, and letters and really has learned all of them. He's only 22 months and has complete letter recognition, shape recognition, can count to 20, and identifies colors accurately. The DVD's can be watched in segments or for the entire 30-40 minutes. As we introduced each new DVD, he was a not quite as interested as in the previous one but by the second or third time, he really enjoyed it and started identifying the material.

As a teacher, I highly recommend this product. The pace is slow with simple colors and melodies. My son has been able to generalize his new skills into early reading and play. Meet the sight words is next and we are very excited to watch him learn!

5 out of 5 stars Great Learning Video!!!   October 28, 2008
I got this video for my 2 year old daughter. She could sing the alphabet song but could not identify most letters. I think she watched this video 4-5 times and can now identify every letter in the alphabet. I was shocked!!!! She would ask to watch "letters" over and over. I cannot rave about this product enough. We also got "Meet the Numbers" and I have seen the same thing. She gets excited to see numbers everywhere we go and wants to tell me which number is which. Its so exciting to see her learn and enjoy it.
If you are going to put a movie on for your kids to watch--they might as well learn something. I would highly recommend this series of videos!!!

4 out of 5 stars Really a great Learning Tool but annoying   September 9, 2008

The first impression I had was "How Annoying!" It really just repeats the names of the letters in the same boring voice (most of the time anyway) while changing the look of the letters. HOWEVER, it IS very helpful with learning letters. During the first viewing, my 22 month old immediately started repeating what they were saying. Frankly, I was surprised. I didn't think she could say all of the sounds. I don't always show the entire alphabet but the DVD gives you the option to start it at the beginning, middle, or end of the alphabet. (For shorter attention spans) Also, I discovered later, that if the sequential alphabet gets on your nerves too much.. .you can just put on the flashcard part. I find this much more tolerable. The voices are "fun" and they randomly pick the letters. If you're looking for good practice with the letters then I recommend it.
