Exhilerating and tragic (four and a half stars actually) February 12, 2008 This greek film far surpased my expectations. It is a thriller as good as anything Hollywood could produce but with a much better story. I actually rented it at my local blockbuster video.
I wish more Americans would give this film a chance - they would be blown-away! It appeals to every possible type of audiance. It supplied a real adreneline rush, and made me deeply sad as well. This is one of the best films I've seen recentley.
Hostage (Omiros in greek) October 31, 2007 This film is really worth seeing for anyone who's interested in seeing a different side to Greece. Its no good for special affects or intense action but it is quite moving. Its also quite gritty, I think it portrays Greece in a more real way. The story is based on real events too which makes it even more moving. The relationship between Albanians and Greeks interests me and this film gives an incite into some of the prejudices that each hold against each other. This means there are many different angles from which to consider the story-line.
